This is a woman who was hired because she wrote “good fanfiction.”

Which is essentially what any person hired to write characters they did not create is assigned to do.

I dunno, I tried to read her “novel” and if they fired her, Gaider, Mary and uhhh the other guy they could have an actual game studio again rather than a dating sims factory, but that’s just my opinion I guess. 

I honestly think Anders was the worst character in any given Dragon Age game and I was never more grateful for the ability to off one of my own party members, but Anders wasn’t the only thing she was responsible for (and even on that Count, David Gaider started writing the character and made a lot of executive calls on what happened with him, like the decision to have him come onto the player first from what I understand), the Dwarven Commoner Origin, Anvil of the void, Orzammar, Bethany, and Cullen all seem to be generally well liked.

Gaider is responsible for almost every love interest in the first game, save Leliana who was written by Sheryll Chee. in DA2 Gaider wrote Fenris, Chee wrote Isabela, and Kirby wrote Merril. Anders was the only romantic lead Hepler has ever written in a Dragon Age game (and I guess Sebastian, I keep forgetting he was a character).

I mean, I haven’t read her book, but if the dating sim aspect of the games is your problem with Bioware, she’s not the one to blame for that.
