I draw the webcomic Manly Guys Doing Manly Things and work on cartoons you might see on TV sometimes.

There are negative adjectives I would attach to harassing a scapegoat woman, like “childish” or “mindless”. I don’t see how “entitled” applies. To me, the use of that word implies that no consumer should be criticizing anyone in the industry at all.

No, the use of the word “entitled” is to describe people who feel it is their right to harass an employee of a company by every means available, on every subject up to and including her personal appearance because they have at some point purchased a game by that company and were not impressed with some or all of it.

That behaviour is not “childish”. Children do not root out personal information about strangers on the internet so they can harass them in their home. It is not “mindless” because it is a concentrated effort. It’s barely even criticism of the game, and more attacking an individual for her personal appearance and all sorts of grievances that had absolutely nothing to do with her (The plot of DA2? Bioware love interests? Mass Effect 3?). It is entitled, as in, a perceived right.
