This is the first movie I can remember making me cry.

Just this, then that scene where the oldest kid is so excited his dog is going to come home because his siblings just got their pets back, and then he realizes that Shadow didn’t make it and he’s so crushed, but then shadow did make it after all! and aaaaa I’m getting bleary-eyed just thinking about it.

It’s like in Paulie, when he finally finds Marie but she’s all grown up so he can’t accept it’s her and it’s like NO PAULIE YOU SPENT YOUR WHOLE LIFE LOOKING FOR HER YOU’RE SO CLOSE! GO BACK!!
