I draw the webcomic Manly Guys Doing Manly Things and work on cartoons you might see on TV sometimes.
Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
mom’s watching TV and a commercial for The Big Bang Theory came on and the announcer dramatically announced how the latest episode would feature the girls going WHERE NO WOMAN HAS GONE BEFORE
and the camera panned to the girls walking into an arcade full of surprised dudes
*internal screaming*
Remember that time they had a girl who wrote and drew her own comics and I thought I could relate but it turns out all she drew was comics about her having anonymous sex at cons? Yeeaaahhhhhh.
People, good people, my friends even, my girlfriend even, are still defending this show when I tell them I don’t like it. I don’t think they understand that it’s far more degrading than it is funny, and it isn’t very funny.
I think Big Bang Theory is what would happen if someone learned everything they know about human culture by hanging out on the internet and never actually meeting a living human.
Big Bang Theory is like the result of the Michael Bay Transformers trying to make a television program about nerd culture after they downloaded the internet, to summarize what they learned.
