I draw the webcomic Manly Guys Doing Manly Things and work on cartoons you might see on TV sometimes.
A protector!? Do I NEED that? D:
You don’t *need* it persay but tablet screens are pretty prone to getting scratched up and once you get one scratch every line you draw is just gonna exacerbate the situation. I’ve already scratched the screen protector I got in October up enough I’m considering replacing it.
Any thoughts on the difference in size going from your Companion to a 22” or 24” Cintiq?
I used to work on an old 12UX Cintiq and absolutely hated it, like the resolution was so obnoxiously small and there was such a wide border of unpredictable space around the edges you couldn’t draw in I preferred an Intuos tablet to wrestling with it. But the resolution of the 13HD screen is a completely different beast. I have no qualms with it and never feel cramped (which is my issue with the surface pro). It’s not just a portable alternative for when I don’t have the luxury of accessing a real workstation, it IS a real work station. The only issue I run into is not having the dual screen to keep references on, but that’s mostly a matter of me being spoiled and pampered by my work setup. It’s also nice because you can change the orientation of the page from portrait to landscape by tilting the screen how you want to work on it, so you can basically fill the entire screen with a standard size comic page at a resolution similar to the size of a sheet of paper and see everything while you lay it out.

My street cred would be in utter ruin :(
I think it would make you super internet famous.
I wish Rocom would put his facebook video reviews of oatmeal up on youtube so I could share them with the internet.
